Corta de posts anduve ésta semana!
I was short of posts this past week!
No por que no tenga mucho por decir,
sino por que no tuve mucho tiempo para hacer.
Por suerte,
antes de la lluvia que me mantuvo lejos de la calle y del taller
y
de la corrección del libro,
ya había empezado a mentalizar éste proyecto de hoy,
asi que fué solo cuestión de llevarlo a la práctica,
y así fué como lo hice...
No because I didn"t have much to say
but because I didn"t hace much time to do.
Luckily,
I had planned this project
a couple of days before the rain.
When it finally stopped and I went vback to the studio,
it was just a matter of putting it together
This is how I did it...
Empecé con unos

que veía siempre juntos en mi caja de recortes.
Les hice un agujero a cada uno y los llené con cola de carpintero...
I started with a couple of
WhatShouldIUseThisFor?
that were lying around my work table.
I made a whole in each one of them and I filled them up with glue...
...es allí donde introducí una varilla de madera
la que, una vez seca la cola,
...is there where I insertef a wooden stick
that, once the glue is totally dry...
...ayudará a mantener las dos piezas juntas...
...will help keep the two pieces together...
Les dí dos manos de esmalte al agua satinado color blanco
y mientras todo secaba:
pintura + cola
me dediqué a la parte de arriba,
o sea la pantalla
(si, estoy haciendo otra lámpara!)
I painted the whole thing with white paint
and while it dried,
I started working on the shade,
(yes, I"m making another lamp!)
Y si, estoy usando otra vez alambre de gallinero...
And yes, I"m using chicken wire again...

It"s looking good...
Pero hay más!
Volví a la mesa de trabajo,
corté arpillera,
pinté rayas blancas
y
usé el stencil y esmalte negro...
But there is a little bit more!
Back to the work table
I cut some burlap
painted white stripes
and stenciled ON with black paint...
Y ahora si...
Look at it now...
Desnuda estaba buena,
pero vestida está buenísima!
Naked was good,
but all dressed up is adorable!
Si, corta de poss anduve ésta semana...
Pero no de inspiración gracias a todas las que participan cada viernes
en el Finde Frugal!
por eso espero aprovechar el fin de semana para
tomarme un ratito y crear algo lindo!
Yes, I was short of posts this past week.
