La semana pasada comencé a contaros mi viaje a China (aquí). Hoy lo retomo en Longsheng, una zona de arrozales de una belleza que me sobrecogió.

Last week I started to tell you about my trip to China (here). Today I take it again in Longsheng, a rice-fields area whose beauty shocked me.

Hicimos una excursión desde una pequeña aldea de caminos estrechos y escarpados donde, aparte de los teléfonos móviles, todo parecía congelado en el tiempo.

We made a short trekking from a small village through narrow and steep paths where, apart from the mobile phones, everything seemed to be frozen in the time.

Allí encontré delicados trabajos de bordado en seda y de shibori.

There I found delicate works of embroidery on silk and shibori.

Los paseos por el río Li, en barca, caminando y en bici fueron espectaculares.

The route along the river Li, by boat, walking and biking was spectacular.

Para hacer estas excursiones recurrimos a un guía local que nos llevó a desayunar y comer al equivalente de nuestros bares, donde nos daban una comida deliciosa y muy barata.

For these excursions we had a local guide with us who took us to have breakfast and lunch to local places, where offered delicious and very cheap meal.

La ciudad más cercana a esta zona es Guilin. Está situada entorno al lago Shan, donde se encuentran las pagodas del Sol y la Luna y una zona de jardines donde la gente va a pasear, bailar, hacer ejercicio... y tejer.

The nearest city in this area is Guilin. It is placed around the lake Shan, where you can find the Sun and Moon pagodas and a garden where people go to walk, to dance, to exercise ... and to knit.

Esta señora tenía la misma cara que pongo yo cuando no me convence como va la labor... y, como yo, la deshizo. ¡Si supiera chino me hubiera puesto a charlar con ella! :)

This lady had the same face that I have when I am not sure about how the needlecraft is going ... and, as I do, she undid it. If it could speak Chinese I would have sat and chat with her :)
