El Juego del Silencio – Montessori Silence Game

Tal y como os prometí en el último post, hoy os voy a hablar del Juego del Silencio, todo un clásico de las Case dei Bambini que se puede practicar también en el hogar. El juego funciona mejor si hay varios niños pero incluso con un solo niño tiene muchos beneficios. Podéis leer sobre la importancia del Juego del Silencio en palabras de la propia Maria Montessori en este texto publicado por la AMI.
Material:
No es necesario ningún material, pero se puede utilizar algún instrumento musical para marcar el comienzo y el fin del silencio.
Presentación:
Control de error:
Que alguien se mueva o haga ruido durante el silencio.
Objetivos:
Concentración, conciencia del propio cuerpo, autocontrol, responsabilidad, trabajo en equipo, refinamiento de los sentidos.
Edad:
A partir de 2-3 años.
El Juego del Silencio puede tener muchas variaciones, como encender una vela y soplarla al terminar el silencio, colocar un reloj de arena y mantener el silencio hasta que termine de caer, hacer sonar un bol tibetano y mantener el silencio hasta que dejemos de escuchar su sonido…

Just as I promised in my last post, today I will talk about the Silence Game, a classic in the Case dei Bambini that can also be practiced at home. Material:
No material required, but you can use any musical instrument to mark the beginning and end of silence.
Presentation:
Sit in a circle and explain the children that we are going to make silence
Ask the children if they are able to stay as still and silent as a plant, a flower …
Invite the children to close their eyes and keep quiet.
You can start with 30 seconds and gradually increase as children can withstand longer silent.
At the end time you can call each child by name to go quietly out of the circle, or ring a bell or similar for all children know that the game is over.
Ask the children how they felt, what they have heard in the silence…
Control of error:
Someone moves or makes noise during silence.
Aims:
Concentration, body awareness, self-control, responsibility, teamwork, refinement of the senses.
Age:
From 2-3 years.
The Silence Game has many variations such as lighting a candle and blowing it at the end, keeping the silence while we look at an hourglass until all the sand is down, sounding a Tibetan bowl and keeping quiet until we stop listening to its sound…
